The Decemberists Take To The Road

Colin Meloy and his band of literate indie pop virtuosos have announced tour dates in support of their upcoming album The Crane Wife, which promises to mystify with a few prog-ish tunes as well as deliver the hooky pop goods. Look for it October 3rd. You can preview the first single "O, Valencia" on their Myspace. The Decemberists stop off in Chicago at the Riviera on November 11th, with Alasdair Roberts supporting.
